The CCHS Foundation is Sponsoring its First-Ever Read-a-Thon!

Our goal is to reach out to our local communities while raising both awareness and money for research in a fun, simple way that anyone can enjoy.
The Read-a-Thon will begin on May 1st and will run through May 15th. During this 2 week period, you or your child can set personal reading goals and then read daily for as many minutes as possible. If you choose to take part in the Read-a-Thon, you can either encourage your family and friends to join you, or you can ask them to sponsor you or your child as you read.
With this pledge form, family, coworkers, neighbors, and friends can sponsor you or your child with a fixed donation or can make a pledge per 15 minutes of reading. Try to find at least 5 sponsors to pledge $10 each for you or your child’s reading. If donors would like to receive a receipt for tax purposes, then they should donate directly through our website at http://cchsnetwork.org/donate. Otherwise, donations can be collected by the participant and mailed to The CCHS Foundation, PO Box 230087, Encinitas, CA 92023-0087.
We are asking everyone in the CCHS community to find a way to participate. You can simply read books with your family and friends, but we are hoping that you will take the time to reach out to your local community. If you have school-aged children, we hope that you contact their teachers and invite the other children in their class to participate in the Read-a-Thon. You may even be able to include the entire school. If you do not have young children, you could reach out to your local library or contact local book clubs to see if they are willing to participate. Other organizations like youth groups, Boy or Girl Scouts, or children’s sports teams and clubs might be willing to take part. Anything you are able and willing to do to make this fundraiser a success will be appreciated.
