Dreaming of Breathing – The Adventures of Casper & Beau is a magical tale inspired by two friends, Casper and Beau, who share the same rare breathing condition. At night, as they get ready for bed they must be connected to a ventilator as they cannot breathe by themselves when they sleep. They plan to meet in their dreams and have wonderful adventures together as they dive for treasure and even take a ride on a whale!
This book has been produced by UK CCHS charity Keep Me Breathing to raise awareness of CCHS and funds for its medical research program.
“We are thrilled to mark CCHS Awareness Day with the launch of our book, as there is an urgent need for greater understanding of CCHS. When Casper was born in 2021, we faced a long and challenging journey to get his CCHS diagnosis, and it’s crucial that more people, especially healthcare professionals, become aware of this rare breathing disorder,” said Stephanie Roberts, Casper’s mother and Co-Founder of Keep Me Breathing.
Available from 28th September – International CCHS Day.
Audience 2-7 years of age.
All proceeds will fund the development of a new treatment for CCHS.
